San Diego Concealable Vest — GTX-K-3A IIIA (Front-to-Back Wrap)

Inspired by legendary San Diego PD forensic scientist Gene Wolberg, the front panel wraps wide to meet the back — delivering uninterrupted ballistic coverage around the sides of the torso, with the seam positioned in a favorable location for the shooting angles most likely to threaten an officer. SAS has built this shape for over three decades.

The 5:15 Express Test

We don't design around prearranged shot locations or fair hits. Our internal 5:15 Express test spec puts 15 Winchester 124gr 9mm FMJ rounds at 1,380–1,400 ft/sec inside a 5-inch circle — rounds side-by-side, no fair spacing. The GTX-K-3A does well against this threat scenario.
